New book is released on LISP – Locator and Identity Separation Protocol.
“LISP Network Deployment and Troubleshooting: The Complete Guide to LISP Implementation on IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS”
I still couldn’t start to read it as the authors didn’t send my own copy yet :), but I want to congratulate the authors, Tarique, Vinit and Yves on the effort by now.
I know Tarique personally, he joined my CCDE classes couple times and I can say that He is very smart and knowledgable engineer. Yves and Vinit both had the books on other domains already, they have a good experience on writing and delivering message to the readers.
In this book, authors cover, LISP Architecture, IPv4 and IPv6 Unicast Routing with LISP, LISP Multicast Routing.
Last but not least, they explain how LISP would be used for IP Mobility in Traditional and Modern Datacenter environment.
I discussed couple months ago ‘Is LISP dead‘ in one of my blog posts, but wondering now, by understanding the protocol with this extensive book, can it create more adoption? We will see.
Nevertheless, even if you won’t deploy LISP, reading this book I think will provide nice information on Datacenter Fabrics, Overlay and IP in IP encapsulation and IP Mobility.Good news is if you have Safari subscription, it is available on Safari too. Here is the link.
